History
The Department of English was founded in 2000. Since 1994, however, the teachers of the Department, then under the Department of Languages and Literature Education, have offered various English teaching courses to the students of the Departments of Elementary Education and Languages and Literature Education who have chosen English teaching as their second specialty. To this day, many graduates of the College have been teaching English at elementary schools around the island.
